Hourly work is billed at $120–$200 per hour for two movers and a truck, with a two-hour minimum — the same rate as our local moving service in San Diego.
What changes the price: stairs, a long carry from the truck to the door, doorways that need the appliance’s doors removed, and whether more than one item is moving on the same trip. Every one of these is quoted before we start. Nothing new appears on your invoice on the day.

We disconnect and reconnect standard plug-in appliances — refrigerators, electric dryers and freestanding electric ranges. California law requires a licensed technician for gas lines and hard-plumbed water lines, so a gas range, gas dryer or plumbed dishwasher must be disconnected before we arrive. We move the unit either way.
At least 24 hours. Unplug it, empty it, and leave the doors open so it fully defrosts and drains. A fridge that still has ice in it leaks meltwater during transit — onto your floors and into the compressor housing.
Yes. Every stair carry uses a minimum two-person crew with a stair-climbing appliance dolly and ratchet straps. Tell us the floor number and whether the stairs are interior or exterior when you book, and the stair carry is included in your quote up front — never added afterward.
We measure the appliance and the narrowest point of the route before anything moves. If it won’t clear, we remove the appliance’s doors and refit them on the other side. We don’t force an appliance through a frame — that’s how jambs get broken and finishes get gouged.

If you still have them, yes — fit them before we arrive. Shipping bolts lock a front-loader’s drum so it can’t swing on its suspension in transit. Moving a front-loader without them risks damaging the drum and suspension, and that damage is not covered by moving insurance. Top-loaders don’t need them.
