The CSUSM and Palomar College corridor turns over twice a year. Late-May move-outs and late-August move-ins book solid. If you’re a student or a parent, reserve three weeks ahead or you’ll be renting the truck yourself.

4. Start early in summer. Inland heat. A 7 a.m. start means we’re loaded before noon.
5. Plan around Highway 78. Between 3 and 6 p.m. it’s parked from Oceanside to Escondido. Morning moves.
6. Downsizing? Sort before we arrive. Three piles: keep, donate, storage. We can drop the donate pile at a San Marcos thrift on the way out.
